HP

I have been trying to get Matt to read Harry Potter pretty much since we started dating. Well he is finally doing it and it makes me so happy!

Watching him reading it every night makes me so jealous that he is experiencing it for the first time. I am trying to get him to finish by July 14 so he will come to the last Harry Potter Party  with me. Right now he is on book four and I am pretty sure he is going to finish in time.

Getting Dirty

Last Saturday Matt and I did The Dirty Dash up in Midway. We had so much fun!

We were on a team with the Mulcock siblings and a few friends. My siblings were in heat behind us and we waited for them to go through the last few mud pits together.

the whole team while we are still recognizable

the giant mud pits at the end

The whole team after we crossed the finish line. I have never been that dirty in my life, but it was so worth it!

On our way home we went to lunch at one of our favorite places, High Mountain Drugstore. We have been craving it ever since we were there last time .

(Don't mind the fact that I still look like a dirt ball in this picture.)
Can't wait to do it again next year!

Happy

Here are a few things that are making me happy right now

-Finals/Our last full semester of school are over! Only two more online classes and I am done with my Bachelor's degree!

- Last weekend we went to Lake Powell with the Preo family. We had perfect weather no wind and sunny skies pretty much the whole trip. Pictures to come later I didn't have my camera so I will have to wait until someone else uploads some.

We probably listened to this song 50 plus times on this trip. It is one of the best dance songs ever. Even at 2 in the morning with Dash, Smeegs and I squished in the back seat we could not help but have a dance party. I don't know who could not be happy after listening to it. The video is pretty awesome too although it does make me sad an African team did not win the World Cup.

 - Coming home from Lake Powell was hard, but the fact that we are going back in ten days with the Mulcocks and the Schnieders definitely makes it easier!

- The news that one of these will be in fashion place mall in the fall makes me very happy!

-This is our book club book for May, I am almost done and loving it. Tina Fey is hilarious.

- Enjoying a rainy morning with husband eating pancakes with delicious coconut syrup

B&B

Last Thursday was the first meeting of our new book club with some DG friends.

This was our first book

It is a story about child traffiking in Nepal and a man's experience with trying to help all the orphaned children. I was a little skeptical after reading the back, but I really enjoyed it. It was a very genuine and inspiring story. It made me want to do more with my life and help people.

Brecken chose the book and organized the evening. We went to dinner at Himalayan Kitchen to try some of the food they talked about in the book.

It was such a fun night! I love all these girls and love knowing that we will be getting together every month.  Thanks for making this book club happen Chloee !

Favorite Cinderella Story

Matt and I watched Brady 6 the other night, it is a documentary about Tom Brady and the 6 quarterbacks that were taken before him in the NFL draft. His story is absolutely amazing.

This was the part of the show when he was got all choked up about his parents and his worries about not being taken in the draft. So tender.

I love Tom even more now! Matt who hates the Patriots with a passion (it's a strain on our relationship) says he hates Tom Brady less which is a huge step for him to admit. I think he secretly likes him but he will not admit it. If you like sports documentaries, or great stories about attractive athletes you should definitely watch this.

Easter Sunday

We celebrated Easter this year by eating lots of delicious food and hanging out with our families.

We went to the Leppard's house with all the Preos for lunch and enjoyed the nice weather while it lasted playing soccer, it is not a family gathering without a pick up game of some sort.

This is the only picture I took all day sadly. Dasha and I showed up in almost the same exact outfit. Same cardigan, grey shirt, dark jeans, and grey Toms. I guess this is how you roll when your names are masha and dasha .

After lunch we went over to the Mulcocks for Dinner, an Easter egg hunt with the kids, and some basketball. I wish I would have taken some pictures of the little kids searching for eggs they are all so adorable.

I might be going through slight withdrawals without these around all the time. They are hands down my favorite Easter candy.

I added them to my favorite chocolate chip oatmeal cookies and they were delicious.
